New York University, Abu Dhabi

This “Design & Build” project for the new New York University Abu Dhabi Campus on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi includes the development of concept, detailed and technical designs from a Master Plan by Raphael Vinoly Architects together with the subsequent construction of a site wide basement for servicing and parking and a two level podium plus some thirty individual buildings from Podium level. The overall programme is approximately four years.

The campus will occupy a site of approximately 15.4 Hectares split into two plots.

The construction activities on the main site include the provision of:

• Approx 117,000m2 of Academic space including, instructional, faculty & administration;
• Approx 142,000m2 of housing for students, faculty and staff;
• Approx 34,000m2 of car parking;
• Approx 8200m2 of research areas.

The second plot houses the university sports facilities including a Track and Field arena with showcase pitch for soccer, a “training” pitch and six tennis courts together with locker room and club house facilities.

Vins Scope includes 3D BIM Modelling in Fabrication CAD MEP for some areas and preparation of 2D Shop Drawings.

The Work involves the Following Services:
Air conditioning and Ventilation, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Water Supply, Lighting , Power, Containment, Builders Work.
